Total Battle reset time: read UTC event boundaries

Keep the UTC reference, the event's own boundary and your local calendar separate.

In short

The major-event entries illustrated here use 17:00 UTC as their event-day reference. That is not every activity's reset. Read the event's dated start and live countdown, then convert that date for your location rather than relying on a remembered local hour.

What you need

Total Battle's game day turns over at 17:00 UTC: the major events start and end there. Not everything follows it, though. Short tournaments, gift timers, clan Clan wealth and event contribution windows run on their own clocks.

You need the exact activity, its dated UTC start or end, and the current in-game countdown. A remembered local hour without the event name and date is not enough to organise members across time zones.

The dates here are historical starts recorded in the game's calendar snapshot. They illustrate UTC boundaries rather than advertise an upcoming run.

Step 1: Read the event's actual boundary

  1. Open the exact event you intend to play.
  2. Identify whether the time describes the overall event opening, a stage start or the end of scoring.
  3. Read the full UTC date as well as the clock time.
  4. Check the current in-game countdown before committing troops or items.

Sands of EternitySat, Sep 5, 17:00
Overall opening of TRIALS OF OLYMPUSTue, Oct 6, 16:05
Trial of the Chimera stageTue, Oct 6, 17:00

The final pair is especially useful: the overall opening and the first stage do not share the same recorded clock time. An invitation that says only the parent event's opening can leave members ready for the wrong boundary.

The trading guide adds another timing distinction: departure and arrival are separate moments in a purchase. A calendar start tells you when the event begins, not when a long march will complete its action.

Step 2: Convert the dated UTC time for your location

  1. Keep the original UTC date and time in the clan instruction.
  2. Enter that dated moment into a calendar or time-zone converter.
  3. Select your actual location and the event date.
  4. Confirm both the local clock time and the local calendar date before setting a reminder.

UTC is a stable reference. Your local offset can change with seasonal clock rules, so a conversion remembered from an earlier event can become wrong later.

Do not publish a universal local-time equivalent for every member. Even members who usually play together can be in different locations or following different seasonal clock rules.

For recurring clan reminders, review what the reminder repeats. Repeating a local clock appointment is not always the same as repeating the same UTC appointment. Preserve the intended reference and verify the next dated occurrence.

This is conversion advice rather than a claim about a particular location's current offset. Use a converter for the actual date instead of applying a general country label or an old chat message.

Step 3: Keep other countdowns independent

  1. Check the timer attached to the specific gift, reward or activity.
  2. Identify what starts that timer.
  3. Decide whether your intended action finishes before its own deadline.
  4. Use the event-day reference only when that activity actually follows it.

The official regular-tournament guide says the short tournaments start randomly and have no fixed public launch schedule. A major-event day reference does not turn those appearances into guaranteed daily appointments.

The official clan-menu guide describes different intervals for gifts and shared reward distribution. Neither should be replaced by the assumption that the next major boundary refreshes everything.

Examples of independent clocks
ActivityWhat to check
A newly appeared clan giftIts 20 hours opening window
Shared wealth distributionIts 6.5 hours availability interval
DARK OMENS contributionsThe 7 scheduled windows in the event's production tab
A short regular tournamentIts own upcoming notice and live countdown

The wealth guide explains gift opening and distribution. The DARK OMENS guide covers the official contribution intervals, where production continues even while the contribution control is closed.

The game doesn't publish one reset moment for daily quests and every other account activity, and the event calendar doesn't establish one. Each activity's own screen, or official support, gives its reset.

Troubleshooting

My reminder is correct in UTC but looks different locally

Check the event date and your location's seasonal clock rules. A change in local display does not by itself establish that the recorded UTC boundary moved.

A member says the event opened, but the stage is unavailable

Check whether the message refers to the parent opening or the stage start. The recorded example above demonstrates that those can be different boundaries within the same event.

A gift expired before the next game-day reference

Its timer began when it appeared, under the official gift rule. The major-event clock does not extend that independent deadline.

A short tournament did not appear at the expected hour

The official rules describe a random rotation. Check the upcoming list and live event rather than assuming the major-event day boundary guarantees that named tournament.

Common mistakes

  • Giving a clock time without its date or UTC reference.
  • Reusing an old local conversion after seasonal clock changes.
  • Confusing the parent event opening with a stage start.
  • Treating gift expiry and wealth availability as daily reset timers.
  • Assuming the major-event calendar proves the reset rule for every account activity.

Next steps

Use the calendar to find the exact activity, then publish its dated UTC boundary alongside the action members should complete. Keep a live countdown check in the plan before troops or saved items are committed.

For a concrete battle event, the Sands of Eternity guide shows why a recorded duration should still be checked against the current occurrence. Preserve that habit even when the event's time usually feels familiar.

FAQ

What time does the game day reset in Total Battle?

The game day turns over at 17:00 UTC, and the major events start and end there. Short tournaments, gift timers, Clan wealth and contribution windows keep their own clocks, and a parent event can open at a different time from its first stage, so check the exact activity.

Does every game activity reset at that time?

The sources do not establish that. Short tournaments, gift deadlines, shared reward availability and event contribution windows follow their own rules.

Should I announce only my local time?

Keep the dated UTC reference in the instruction and let members convert it for their actual location and event date. A local-only instruction is harder to verify across the clan.

Can seasonal clock changes affect my reminder?

They can affect the local conversion. Check the dated occurrence and whether the reminder is intended to follow UTC or a local clock appointment.

Is a calendar entry enough to send an army immediately?

Check the live event and its action deadline first. Departure, arrival and scoring completion may be different moments.
