In short

Arachne's Swarm lets your captains fight the swarm together for Valor points, Experience and tournament points. Hero level sets your division; army level sets personal goals. Claim unlocked rewards before the tournament ends.

What it is

Arachne's Swarm is the epic event against the Arachne's Swarm Epic squad, including its named Merciless Arachne enemy. Its distinctive rule is the combined captain allowance: you can send the event's full captain team together, instead of choosing the lone leader required by the undead or forge events.

The official epic battle rules pay increased Valor points and Experience for kills. In the event window your points are Arachne Coin: tournament points, not a shop currency.

It belongs to the epic battle family with Doomsday, Armageddon, Hellforge and Shadow Invasion. Their restrictions change with the rotation, so use the rule for the event currently open.

When it runs

The swarm's personal-goal rewards expire when the tournament ends. Its short window makes a final claim reminder useful: completing a goal and leaving its reward unclaimed is not the same as collecting it.

Who can take part

Attack the swarm in the kingdom where it appears, using the permitted Captains. The Hero is not part of this event's captain-team allowance; the combined hero-and-captains rule belongs to Shadow Invasion.

Hero level determines the division unless the event states an exception. Army level determines personal-goal difficulty and rewards. Equipping a different captain does not turn that captain's level into the division rule.

Before the clan session, check that the intended team is available and wearing combat equipment. A captain previously assigned to gathering or construction needs attention even when another member of the team is already ready for monsters.

How the swarm scores

Monsters killed inside the Arachne's Swarm Epic squad earn tournament progress, Valor points and Experience. You do not have to destroy the whole epic squad with your own march to earn points, but an attack that kills no monster earns none.

Build a team with relevant specialties

The official captain guide gives Hercules Army strength and Army health against epic monsters. Cleopatra provides general Army strength, and Ramses II provides Army health. Those specialties give a concrete starting point for a broadly useful combat team if you have those captains developed.

A troop-focused choice can fit better when most of your damage comes from the matching troop type. For example, Aydae supports Guardsmen. Select according to the troops you actually send rather than filling a slot with a developed gathering captain whose specialty does not support the fight.

The official troop guide confirms that Guardsmen have special anti-monster attack bonuses. Mercenary bonuses vary by target, so read their traits before using a formation that worked against a different enemy.

  1. Inspect the Arachne's Swarm Epic squad and the traits of its defenders.
  2. Select the permitted captain team and equip each selected captain for combat.
  3. Prepare the intended Valor points bonus and Experience points bonus bonuses and a monster-focused army.
  4. Attack, follow the personal-goal ladder and claim unlocked rewards before the closing timer.

Formations

Community guides give a fixed number of battle rounds and health ratios between the layers of a swarm march; they are player advice, not game rules. The stacking guide explains the principle: the enemy hits your squad with the most total health first.

The game doesn't publish an official formation for this event. Battle rounds, targeting order, troop-layer ratios and the reinforcement procedure circulate only as community advice, so treat any fixed recipe or joint-march routine as a player's suggestion, not a rule.

Rewards and chest chances

Arachne Chest is this event's chest. Epic-squad victories can also award clan chests, alongside personal-goal and ranking rewards. An attack that earns progress does not guarantee a chest.

Each percentage is the chance of that reward once you open Arachne Chest, not the chance of earning the chest.

A plan for your clan

When the rotation moves to Doomsday, announce the reduced captain allowance explicitly. The same saved team cannot simply be sent under the undead event's rule.

Common mistakes

  • Leaving available captain slots unused because the previous epic allowed only a lone captain.
  • Sending a gathering specialist as though every captain specialty were a combat bonus.
  • Including the hero under a rule that allows the captain team instead.
  • Treating community battle-round or layer-ratio claims as guaranteed game rules.
  • Completing the personal goals but leaving rewards unclaimed at the event's end.

FAQ

How many captains can attack together?

The official allowance is 3. This is the event's main leadership difference from the undead and forge battles.

What is the event's named point item?

Arachne Coin. They are tournament points, not a currency for an equipment shop.

Which captain specialties fit the swarm?

Hercules supports epic-monster combat. General army or matching troop specialties can fill the other choices according to the army you field.

Is destroying the whole swarm required for progress?

No. Monsters killed within the squad earn points even when the attacking army loses.

When must I claim personal goals?

Before the tournament ends. Unclaimed personal-goal rewards expire at the closing timer.
