What it is
Castle Development is the personal construction tournament. Building and upgrading buildings in your city scores (official guide), so time completions inside the active window.
The practical opportunity is an upgrade you already need. Finishing it while the tournament is active advances your city and adds tournament progress. Starting an unrelated project just because the ranking is open can leave your actual development waiting behind it.
This is not a shared clan construction contest. Clanmates can help shorten a process, but each player's qualifying building work contributes to that player's ranking.
When it runs
The official short-tournament rules describe a random rotation rather than fixed public launch dates. Check the upcoming list, then the active tournament, before spending an item to bring an upgrade forward.
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Active scoring window | 3.5 hours |
| Current or next start, UTC | Fri, Nov 6, 15:00 |
| Regular tournaments active together | 1 |
| Rewarded places | Top 100 |
The start above is read from the game's calendar when you open the page. It is useful for a reminder, but the live countdown decides whether your completion is actually in the scoring window. Check the calendar when planning alongside other events.
Do not make the next construction window a prerequisite for ordinary growth. The same short tournament cannot immediately repeat, and there is no official fixed repeating timetable to justify keeping a builder idle indefinitely.
Who can take part
The normal-kingdom entry record adds no special participation requirement. You need an available building or upgrade and the resources and prerequisites that project itself requires.
Those project requirements still matter. A tournament does not bypass your city's development tree. Before timing an upgrade, open its own requirement panel and check that it is the project you intend to complete.
The official Capitol guide explains that this building determines your city level and base capacity for help from clanmates. That makes it worth considering in your development plan, without assuming it is always the best tournament choice or assigning it an unsupported point value.
How construction scores
Prepare a completion rather than an idle queue
Start a useful long project as part of normal development. If its remaining time naturally brings it near a confirmed window, you have a candidate for tournament timing. If it finishes much earlier, do not assume leaving the account waiting will repay the lost development.
- Confirm the active event is Castle Development.
- Inspect the intended upgrade's remaining time and requirements.
- Allow for incoming clan help before choosing any acceleration.
- Complete the project inside the window and check your tournament score.
- Start the next useful project instead of keeping the construction slot empty.
No official source publishes points per building or level, so compare candidates in the current rules panel.
The game doesn't publish points by building or upgrade level, or the exact moment an upgrade scores. Check the live tournament's rules in the game.
Account for help before spending
The clan-menu rules describe help as shortening a process by a share of its initial construction time. Do not calculate it as the same share of whatever time happens to remain when you look.
| Help rule | Value or condition |
|---|---|
| Time removed by each ally's help | 1% of initial construction time |
| Additional construction and research help requests from Great Ruler | 5 |
| Base help capacity | Depends on Capitol level |
These are process-timing rules, not multipliers on tournament points. They explain why a completion can move earlier as help arrives. They do not establish a special ranking bonus for receiving help.
Ask members to keep helping each other. If timing changes, adjust your chosen completion rather than withholding ordinary assistance throughout the clan.
Keep building and research separate
Upgrading Academy is building work; completing a technology is research work. The separate Scientific Progress guide covers research timing. Do not spend on the wrong process merely because both timers appear in the same city interface.
Rewards
The top 100 players receive rewards under the regular-tournament rules. They are credited when you next log in. Any Dragon Coins go to Clan Capital, so that reward is not a personal wallet increase.
The usual ranking rewards are a title, tar, captain fragments and other items (event notes). Read the current ranking bands before deciding whether another acceleration item is worth spending on a building you were not ready to finish.
The event has no chest of its own. Your project's permanent benefit is the building upgrade itself; placing adds the reward shown in the live ranking.
Do not treat reaching a rewarded place during the window as a guaranteed final result. Other players can continue to complete buildings until the event ends.
A plan for your clan
For the wider rotation, use the short-tournament guide. The The King's Mercy guide explains another use of your city's main building: sending its produced currency to the kingdom treasury.
Common mistakes
- Keeping a builder idle for a start time that has not been confirmed.
- Completing research while expecting construction points.
- Buying acceleration before checking how much clan help can still arrive.
- Choosing an unnecessary project only because it is quick to finish.
- Assuming a current rewarded rank cannot change before the window closes.
FAQ
What activity earns points?
Building and upgrading buildings in your city, completed inside the active tournament.
Does this include researching technologies?
That is the separate research tournament's activity. Check which event is active before choosing a timer to finish.
Should clanmates stop helping to protect my timing?
Plan around the assistance your project can receive. Holding up the clan's normal help routine is a poor substitute for selecting a suitable completion.
Does each help remove a share of the remaining timer?
The official article bases the help reduction on initial construction time. Use the process's current timer when deciding whether further acceleration is needed.
Are the rewards shared by the clan?
The ranking is personal. The official rule specifically sends any clan-bound coin reward to the capital.
