What it is
Pursuit of Experience is a personal tournament for artifact progression. The official event guide describes the loop: defeat runic squads, collect the Guardian Stone currency and reach personal goals that award materials for leveling and summoning artifacts.
Clanmates can help by joining raids, but their cooperation does not create a shared clan score. Each member still follows the personal goal ladder on their own event screen.
When it runs
The game calendar gives the normal-kingdom timing below.
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Repeats | Every 6 days |
| Duration | 1 day |
| Current or next start, UTC | Sat, Nov 7, 17:00 |
Use the calendar to place a raid session within the event, then check the live countdown before sending troops.
Seasonal kingdoms have their own event entry. Do not copy the normal-kingdom recurrence into a seasonal plan simply because the displayed event name is the same.
Who can take part
Both the official guide and the entry condition require Guardsmen level 4. Meeting that requirement opens participation; it does not establish that every runic target is a sensible fight for your army.
The official rule scales both personal-goal difficulty and rewards with troop level. A larger account's goal screen is therefore not a universal checklist for smaller clanmates.
Before organising a raid session, ask members to check their eligibility and their next personal goal. Use that information to choose a session they can actually join, rather than copying the strongest account's target into the clan announcement.
How runic progress works
Fight the event's targets
The game names Common Runic squad and Raid Runic squad as the relevant target types. The official article says fighting runic squads earns the event currency, and teaming up for raids earns more of it.
Use the target's own battle information when choosing what to attack: there is no official army recipe or safe target level for each tier.
The game doesn't publish safe target levels, troop compositions or expected losses. The ones players share are community advice, so test them in your own battles before relying on a level-to-army shortcut.
Follow your own goal ladder
Accumulating the required currency unlocks personal rewards. Check the next goal before deciding whether another raid supports a reachable milestone. Because the ladder scales with troop level, members can attend the same session and still have different stopping points.
- Confirm the live event and your eligibility.
- Read your next personal goal and current progress.
- Choose a suitable runic target or join the clan's permitted raid.
- Return to the event screen to review currency progress and available rewards.
- Decide whether continuing serves the next goal before committing another army.
Keep raid rewards and personal goals distinct
Raids on runic targets can also award clan chests (event notes): a separate reward channel from the artifact materials of your personal goals.
A chest record cannot tell you the member's full event score. Someone can make meaningful currency progress without producing the same chest activity as another participant. Ask members for their own goal progress when planning the next session.
The epic-run guide explains the broader habit of separating an organiser's attendance plan from reward evidence. This event still follows its own runic raid rules; it is not an interchangeable epic-battle host.
Rewards
Personal goals support artifacts
The official article names Artifact Experience for leveling artifacts and summoning keys for obtaining them. The game's item name for the latter is Artifact Summoning Key. Those are the progression rewards to inspect on your personal goal ladder.
Some players save keys to summon in batches; no official source says batching changes the odds, so decide on the summoning screen itself.
The raid chest has its own item chances
The event has 6 chests in the game catalogue. The table shows every reward of one of them, Runic Chest.
| Reward | Chance |
|---|---|
| March Speedup | 48.5% |
| Silver | 13.6% |
| Clan Speedup | 9.7% |
| Clan March Speedup | 7.8% |
| Lumber | 6.5% |
| Stone | 6.5% |
| Iron | 6.5% |
| Portal | 1% |
Each percentage is the chance of that reward once you open the chest, not the chance of earning it. The event's other chests have contents of their own.
The chest-opening guide covers a separate decision about when to open eligible gifts. Do not delay an expiring gift merely because another tournament might appear.
A plan for your clan
For general tournament timing distinctions, see the short-tournament overview. This runic event has its own calendar row and entry requirement.
Common mistakes
- Confusing the entry requirement with a guarantee that every target is affordable.
- Applying a stronger player's personal ladder to every clanmate.
- Counting chests as if they were the event currency.
- Treating community target-level advice as an official army rule.
- Assuming a preferred key-batching habit changes summoning odds without checking them.
FAQ
Is this personal or clan-scored?
The goals are personal. Clan raids help members earn more event currency, but each player follows their own ladder.
What is the entry requirement?
The official guide and entry record require Guardsmen level 4.
What do the personal goals reward?
They award artifact-leveling experience and keys for summoning artifacts. Difficulty and rewards scale with troop level.
Does the chest table describe the personal-goal rewards?
No. It shows the chances inside one of the event's chests. Artifact materials from personal goals are a separate reward channel.
Can chest counts prove who earned the most event currency?
No. Read the player's own event progress for that question. Chests provide an activity view, not a complete currency total.
