What it is
Beastslayer is the monster-killing event in the short personal tournament family. The official rules name defeating monsters as the scoring action, and the event notes recommend saving map hunts for its window.
There is no tournament-specific squad roster to summon. You hunt on the map, using the normal distinctions between common, rare and epic monsters. Preparing the right commander and troops is more useful than looking for a monster named after this tournament.
The event notes advise prioritising higher-level targets you can handle. Treat that as a target-selection principle, not permission to sacrifice an army for a higher score: the complete points-by-level table is not supplied.
When it runs
The official short-tournament family launches randomly without a public timetable. The same event cannot run consecutively, and another short tournament begins when the active one finishes.
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Active duration | 5 hours |
| Short tournaments active together | 1 |
| Current or next start, UTC | Thu, Nov 5, 13:30 |
Use the calendar to prepare your hunting session. The actual event countdown determines whether a fight falls inside the scoring window; the start in the table is read from the game's calendar when you open the page.
The game doesn't publish a fixed repeat cycle for this tournament, and past starts don't settle one. Check the game's upcoming list for its next appearance.
Who can take part
The entry record adds no requirement. The ranking is personal, and the general event rules say short regular tournaments have no divisions.
| Detail | Rule |
|---|---|
| Divisions | 0 |
| Rewarded places | Top 100 |
| Equal scores | The earlier player takes the higher place |
Your army determines which targets you should prepare. Members can share suitable locations without treating everyone as able to fight the same monster level or use the same commander.
How points are scored
Defeat monsters while the event is active. The useful preparation is to have troops and commanders ready for a sequence of normal hunts, rather than clear your intended targets before the scoring window begins.
Match the commander to the monster
The official monster guide gives the commander distinction directly.
| Target | Commander rule |
|---|---|
| Common monster | 1 captain |
| Rare monster | Your hero |
| Epic monster | Rules depend on the active epic event |
Do not transfer a captain-led common hunt setup to a rare target without changing command. Equally, an epic event may impose its own restrictions; being a map monster does not make every epic fight follow common-monster rules.
Choose anti-monster strengths
Guardsmen have special attack bonuses against monsters. Specialists specialise against other players, while monsters in your own army have higher base attack and health, according to the troop guide.
| Detail | Rule |
|---|---|
| Traits shown beneath a troop type's name | 3 |
| What the traits describe | Vulnerabilities and special attack bonuses |
Start with the anti-monster role, then inspect the target's traits and your available army. The troop category alone does not establish a universal march composition for every monster, so use the troop composition guide for the broader method.
Find suitable targets before the window
Use Watchtower with the category and level filters described in the official target-finding guide. Its For the Dragon option is always available. Common target levels follow your strongest captain, while rare target levels follow your hero.
That is a useful starting point for target selection, not a tournament score forecast. Prepare reachable targets and keep enough troops available to complete the hunts you intend to make.
- Prepare suitable common or rare targets and the required commander.
- Assemble troops with useful anti-monster bonuses and matchups.
- Begin the saved hunts after Beastslayer becomes active.
- Use higher-level targets only while their losses remain manageable.
- Receive the personal ranking payout on your next login after the event.
The game doesn't publish points by monster level, or whether any special epic encounters are excluded. Check the live tournament's rules in the game before comparing targets.
Rewards
The personal placement payout includes titles, exploration supplies, capital currency, fragments and other items described in the notes. Dragon Coins from the short-tournament ranking go to Clan Capital, and the payout is credited automatically when you log in.
Ordinary hunting has its own rewards. The monster guide describes Valor points, experience, Armor Fragments and special items. Epic monsters can also provide clan chests and dragon food; those are hunting rewards, not a dedicated chest for this personal tournament.
| Route | What it provides |
|---|---|
| Personal tournament placement | The ranking payout |
| The hunt itself | Normal combat loot for the target |
| Pursuit of Evolution, when active | Dragon Seals from qualifying hunts |
The dragon progression event is a useful overlap when it is active. Its currency serves dragon evolution; it does not replace this tournament's personal score.
The catalogue declares no dedicated chest for Beastslayer, so there is no event-specific drop percentage table. Identify an actual hunting chest before discussing its contents.

Common mistakes
- Clearing intended targets before the window begins.
- Sending a captain-led setup to a rare target that requires the hero.
- Assuming every epic encounter uses ordinary monster rules.
- Choosing troops solely for base strength while ignoring anti-monster bonuses and traits.
- Treating normal hunting loot as a chest dedicated to the event.
FAQ
Do I need a special tournament monster?
No dedicated squad roster is declared. The activity is defeating map monsters through the normal hunting system.
Which commander should I use?
Common targets use a captain, rare targets require the hero, and epic targets follow their own event rules.
What troops should I start with?
The official troop guide gives Guardsmen an anti-monster role. Then consider the target's traits, your unlocked troops and the force you can replace.
Can hunting advance dragon progression as well?
When the relevant dragon event is active, its official rules grant its currency from common, rare and epic monsters. That is an overlapping reward route with its own goals.
Does every monster chest belong to this tournament?
No. Hunting loot retains its ordinary source; this tournament's ranking payout is separate.
