In short

Crypt Raiders scores exploring crypts and searching for rare items. Prepare the correct exploration resource and any required key or research. Ordinary crypt loot stays separate from the personal tournament's ranking payout.

What it is

Crypt Raiders is the crypt-exploration event in the short personal tournament family. Its official scoring description names exploring crypts and searching for rare items. The event notes recommend saving explorations for this window.

Exploration also supplies crafting materials and gems. Preparing for this tournament therefore means choosing the crypt loot your account needs and bringing the correct exploration resource, rather than simply opening a pile of previously earned chests.

There is no unique tournament monster or event-only crypt in the catalogue entry. You use the normal exploration system, with its usual research, keys and resource requirements.

When it runs

The official family rules describe random launches without a public timetable. A tournament cannot repeat immediately after itself; another short tournament follows when it ends.

Use the calendar to prepare supplies, and the live countdown to decide when to explore.

The game doesn't publish a fixed repeat cycle for this tournament, and past starts don't settle one. Check the game's upcoming list for its next appearance.

Who can take part

The tournament's entry record lists no additional requirement. The exploration target still has its own access rules: a Rare Crypt needs research and a matching key, while epic exploration needs the relevant research.

Epic Crypt researchLevel 3 crypt research in Academy
Base maximum march time to a crypt20 minutes before extensions

The crypt guide explains that technologies and hero talents can extend march access. Choose a target you can reach before committing supplies to a route that only works for another account.

How points are scored

Complete explorations during the active window. Prepare keys and research in advance so that the scoring time is spent exploring, rather than unlocking access.

Common cryptTarStandard equipment materialsHigher levels need more exploration supplies
Rare CryptRare TarGems for equipmentRelevant research and a matching key
Epic CryptEpic TarUnique equipment materialsRequired crypt research

A Rare Crypt key comes from defeating a matching-level Elven Citadel, according to the official crypt article. Obtain that access before the tournament if rare exploration is your intended route; a full supply reserve does not replace the key.

Separate cost reduction from efficiency

The official efficiency article distinguishes reducing exploration cost from increasing progress per march. These bonuses solve different preparation problems: cost reduction stretches supplies, while efficiency helps you make more progress on each visit.

Additional preparation detail
PreparationEffect
Bring more than the base exploration resource requirementAdds 10% exploration efficiency
Exploration cost bonusReduces the supplies needed to finish
Exploration efficiency bonusIncreases progress per march

The additional efficiency applies before the other efficiency bonuses described in the article. It is not a tournament reward chance and should not be entered into a chest drop table.

  1. Choose the crypt type whose ordinary loot you need.
  2. Arrange its research, key where required and exploration supplies.
  3. Check the march can reach the target.
  4. Explore while Crypt Raiders is active.
  5. Save resulting unopened chests for a later chest-opening event if their availability allows it.

The game doesn't publish how many points exploration progress and rare finds earn. Check the live tournament's rules in the game.

Rewards

The event's placement payout and ordinary crypt loot are separate. Ranking rewards arrive automatically when you next log in; Dragon Coins from the short-tournament family go to Clan Capital.

Rewards to distinguish
RouteReward type
Personal placementRanking titles, exploration supplies, capital currency, fragments and other items
Common and epic explorationEquipment materials
Rare explorationGems
Ordinary crypt chestsTheir own identified chest contents

This tournament has no dedicated chest binding, so there is no event-specific percentage table. Do not attach the odds of an arbitrary crypt chest to the tournament name. The crypt itself determines its normal loot, while your placement determines the tournament payout.

A plan for your clan

See the short-tournament overview, the monster-hunting guide, and the seasonal pass guide for connected preparation.

Common mistakes

  • Bringing the wrong exploration resource for the crypt type.
  • Saving rare exploration supplies without obtaining a key.
  • Planning an epic target before completing its research.
  • Treating exploration cost reduction as the same bonus as exploration efficiency.
  • Opening saved chests and expecting that action to replace exploration.

FAQ

Which crypt should I explore?

Choose common crypts for standard equipment materials, Rare Crypt for gems, or Epic Crypt for unique equipment materials. Prepare the access and resource for that choice.

How do I get a Rare Crypt key?

The official crypt guide says to defeat an Elven Citadel of the corresponding level. You also need the relevant exploration research.

Can I explore an Epic Crypt immediately?

It requires the crypt research listed in the entry table. Having exploration supplies alone does not unlock it.

Does opening a crypt chest score here?

The activity here is exploration and searching for rare items. The Quest for Chests is the separate chest-opening tournament.

Does higher exploration efficiency mean a better chest drop chance?

It increases exploration progress per march. It is not a published percentage for the contents of a chest.
