What it is
Doomsday is the captain-led battle against an Epic Undead squad. The official epic battle rules allow one captain per attack and pay increased Valor points and Experience for kills.
In the event window your score is Doomsday points. These points advance the tournament's personal goals and ranking; they are not the persistent equipment-shop wallet used by Hellforge.
The other events in the epic battle family are Armageddon, Arachne's Swarm, Hellforge and Shadow Invasion. Their leader allowances differ, even when the broad goal of attacking a powerful squad looks familiar.

When it runs
The schedule below is read from the game's calendar for normal kingdoms when you open the page. Check the event calendar and current tournament timer for the active run.
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Repeats every | 6 days |
| Active window | 1 day |
| Current or next start, UTC | Sat, Nov 7, 17:00 |
Unclaimed personal-goal rewards disappear when the tournament ends. Plan your last undead attack with enough time to claim the completed goals; leaving them visible in the panel does not preserve them for the next run.
Who can take part
You attack the squad in the kingdom where it appears, using a Captain. Your Hero does not replace that leader, and the combined captain setup from the swarm event does not apply here.
Division placement depends on hero level at the start unless the event states otherwise. Personal-goal difficulty and rewards depend on army level. The attacking captain's level is therefore not the same thing as the division rule: a well-developed captain still fights within the division assigned to the account.
Read the personal-goal ladder before spending troops. An officer can explain the event's rules, but a goal from a different army bracket is not necessarily the goal your account needs to reach.
How kills and points work
The objective is to kill creatures inside the Epic Undead squad, rather than expect an ordinary solo army to defeat the entire epic squad. Your army can lose while earning Doomsday points, Valor points and Experience from its kills.
An attack that kills no monster earns no points.
Choose the captain for the undead fight
The official captain guide gives Hercules Army strength and Army health against epic monsters. That makes the epic specialty directly relevant here. Cleopatra provides Army strength and Ramses II Army health, while Aydae supports Guardsmen.
Choose the specialty that fits the army you can field, then equip that captain for combat. A gathering or construction assignment is not a reason to leave the required attack leader in development equipment. The single-captain restriction means the choice matters throughout the march.
The troop guide confirms anti-monster attack bonuses for Guardsmen. Mercenaries have their own target-specific bonuses: inspect those traits rather than selecting them just because they were useful in a city attack.
- Locate the Epic Undead squad and inspect its traits.
- Select the permitted captain, combat equipment and intended Valor points bonus and Experience points bonus bonuses.
- Send a monster-focused army that you can afford to recover.
- Follow Doomsday points in the goal panel and claim unlocked rewards during the run.
Formations
Community guides recommend fixed health ratios between the layers of an epic march; they are player advice, not game rules. The stacking guide explains the principle: the enemy hits your squad with the most total health first.
The game doesn't publish a targeting order or troop-layer ratios for this event. The ones players share are community advice, not a fixed undead-squad formation.
Rewards and chest chances
Epic Monster Chest is this event's chest. Epic-squad victories can also award clan chests, alongside personal-goal and ranking rewards. Kills earn progress even when the squad survives, but an attack does not guarantee a chest.
Each percentage is the chance of that reward once you open Epic Monster Chest, not the chance of earning the chest.
| Reward entry | Declared chance |
|---|---|
| Reset Talent points | 13.6% |
| Gold | 11.6% |
| City teleporter | 9.5% |
| Lumber | 7.5% |
| Stone | 7.5% |
| Iron | 7.5% |
| Epic Tar | 2% |
| Tar | 1.4% |
A plan for your clan
Put the distinction from Armageddon in the announcement if members confuse the epic events. This session develops the permitted captain; the inferno event requires the hero instead.
Common mistakes
- Bringing the hero or a combined captain team to a single-captain event.
- Assuming the attacking captain's level determines the division instead of the hero-level rule.
- Expecting points from an attack that killed no monsters.
- Leaving completed personal goals unclaimed at the closing timer.
FAQ
Which squad belongs to this event?
The Epic Undead squad. Its event-bound catalogue chest is Epic Monster Chest.
Which captain should I consider?
Hercules has an epic-monster specialty. Other relevant choices depend on the army: Aydae supports guardsmen, while Cleopatra and Ramses II provide general army bonuses.
Does losing the attacking army mean I earned nothing?
No. Monster kills inside the epic squad earn progress even if your army loses. Check the kill result and the personal-goal panel.
Can I claim personal goals after the event closes?
Unclaimed personal-goal rewards expire at the end. Claim them during the tournament.
