What it is
Armageddon sends your Hero against an Epic Inferno squad. The defining restriction is hero-only leadership: your Captains cannot join this attack. It is a monster battle for Valor points, Experience and tournament progress, rather than a war against other kingdoms.
The official epic battle rules list it as the hero-only epic battle, with increased Valor points and Experience. In the event window your score shows as Armageddon points; the point item itself is Essence of Fire.
It shares the epic battle rotation with Doomsday, Arachne's Swarm, Hellforge and Shadow Invasion. The leader restriction changes with the event, so an army setup saved for the previous epic is not automatically ready for this target.

When it runs
The normal-kingdom schedule below is read from the game's calendar when you open the page. Use the calendar and the current tournament timer when choosing your attack window; seasonal kingdoms can have a different schedule.
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Repeats every | 24 days |
| Event duration | 2 days |
| Current or next start, UTC | Wed, Nov 11, 17:00 |
Plan the hero session early enough to finish and claim personal goals. The important deadline is the event's end: unclaimed personal-goal rewards expire then.
Who can take part
You fight the squad in the kingdom where it appears. Your Hero leads the army; choosing a combat captain instead does not satisfy this event's restriction.
Your division is determined by hero level, unless the tournament rules state an exception. Personal-goal difficulty and rewards scale with army level. Those are separate systems: leveling the hero changes the division context, while stronger troops affect the goals you are asked to complete.
This distinction matters when an officer sets expectations. Ask members to look at their own personal-goal ladder rather than copying the milestone from an account with different troop development.
How points and attacks work
You are not expected to destroy the whole Epic Inferno squad with an ordinary solo march. The event rewards monsters killed inside the squad, even when the attacking army loses. More kills mean more tournament points, Valor points and Experience.
An attack that kills no monster earns no points, so a march that dies before landing a kill is wasted.
Prepare the hero, not a captain team
Equip the Hero for fighting before opening the march. The event's experience focus makes Experience points bonus relevant, while Valor points bonus supports the other headline battle reward. Prepare the intended bonuses before you start sending attacks rather than interrupting the session to replace a development setup.
The official troop guide gives Guardsmen special attack bonuses against monsters. Monster-focused mercenaries can also fit this fight, but their individual traits matter. A troop's suitability for attacking cities does not by itself make it a good inferno damage dealer.
- Open the Epic Inferno squad and inspect its troop traits.
- Select your Hero with combat equipment and the intended bonuses.
- Build a monster-focused army whose casualties you can recover.
- Attack, check Armageddon points, and claim each personal goal as it becomes available.
What stacking advice can establish
Community guides recommend fixed health ratios between the layers of an epic march; those are player advice, not game rules. The stacking guide explains the principle behind them: the enemy hits your squad with the most total health first.
The game doesn't publish a targeting order or troop-layer ratios for this event. The ones players share are community strategy, not a fixed stacking rule.
Rewards and chest chances
Fire Hydra Chest is the catalogue's named chest for this inferno event. The event document places clan chests among epic-squad victory rewards, alongside personal-goal and ranking rewards. You earn battle progress from kills; simply sending an attack does not guarantee a chest.
Each percentage is the chance of that reward once you open Fire Hydra Chest, not the chance of earning the chest.
| Reward entry | Declared chance |
|---|---|
| Reset Talent points | 13.6% |
| Gold | 11.6% |
| City teleporter | 9.5% |
| Lumber | 7.5% |
| Stone | 7.5% |
| Iron | 7.5% |
| Epic Tar | 2% |
| Tar | 1.4% |
There is no documented persistent equipment-shop wallet for this event. That coin-and-shop system belongs to Hellforge. Here, prioritise the hero experience and attainable personal goals, then claim them before the closing timer.
A plan for your clan
If the clan normally meets for Doomsday, put the leadership change in the announcement. Members should arrive with a hero-led army, not expect their usual captain to lead this fight.
Common mistakes
- Preparing a captain team for an event that only permits the hero.
- Treating an army defeat as proof of no progress without checking monster kills and event points.
- Sending a city-focused troop setup without inspecting anti-monster bonuses.
- Confusing hero-level divisions with army-level personal goals.
- Completing goals and leaving their rewards unclaimed when the event ends.
FAQ
Which squad do I attack?
The event document names the Epic Inferno squad. The associated catalogue chest is Fire Hydra Chest.
Can captains join the hero?
No. The hero-only rule is what separates this event from the captain-led and combined-leader epic battles.
Must the whole squad die for my attack to earn points?
No. Points depend on monsters killed within the squad. An army defeat can still earn progress; an attack without monster kills earns none.
When do personal-goal rewards expire?
At the end of the tournament. Claim completed personal goals during the run rather than leaving them for the results period.
Do I save event coins for an equipment shop?
That is the system described for Hellforge. This event's documented focus is hero experience, Valor points, event points and goal rewards.
