Our summary
Trials of Olympus was reworked after player feedback. The update changes how you get into the lava, removes the old way of losing Oil, and turns fights at the fountains into points for both sides. Here is what each part means for your clan.
Event portals0:14
Lava Fountains are now reached through event portals: each Lava Portal is limited in number and exists only while the event runs. They lead into Lava Fountains and nowhere else, and any you do not use are removed at the end of the run.
No more stolen Oil0:53
You can no longer take over another player’s Lava Fountain, and Lava Oil is not lost when you are attacked. Mining is safe; fighting becomes optional extra reward.
Sealed in Flame and Lava Seals1:12
A new Sealed in Flame tournament has its own milestones. Attacking a player in a Lava Fountain earns Lava Seals for both the attacker and the defender, and the seals move you through those milestones toward extra Lava Oil.
March limits and the Mining Speed penalty1:43
Only so many marches can be sent at any one fountain, which protects miners from being swarmed. Send enough of your best troops: a few low-level warriors get a Mining Speed penalty and cannot hold back the lava.
The Olympus City appearance2:25
A new Olympus City appearance with its own bonus is bought with Winged Drachmas. It costs a lot of them, and Winged Drachmas carry over between runs, so you can save across several runs to get it.
