What it is
Hellforge is the equipment-focused epic event. A Captain leads the army against the monster; completing personal goals earns the currency Hellforge Coin. The official guide confirms a temporary shop where you buy equipment directly at a selected quality.
In the event window the target is Epic Inferno squad and your score is Hellforge points. Those points and the saved coin balance serve different jobs: points advance personal goals, while coins pay for equipment.
It belongs to the epic battle family with Doomsday, Armageddon, Arachne's Swarm and Shadow Invasion. The captain-led rule matches the undead event, but the persistent coin shop gives this run a different spending objective.

When it runs
The table shows the game's calendar for normal kingdoms when you open the page. Check the event calendar and current tournament timer before arranging attacks or planning your equipment purchase.
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Repeats every | 24 days |
| Active window | 2 days |
| Current or next start, UTC | Mon, Nov 23, 17:00 |
The equipment shop is open during the tournament. Your Hellforge Coin balance remains between events, but keeping coins does not keep the shop open. Finish an intended purchase inside the shop window or save deliberately for a later run.
Who can take part
Fight the epic target in the kingdom where it appears. The permitted attack leader is a captain; the hero-only setup from Armageddon does not apply here.
The general epic rules place players into divisions by Hero level unless the tournament states otherwise. Army level affects personal-goal difficulty and rewards. The captain you select for the attack does not replace that division rule.
Read your own personal goals before setting a coin target for the session. Another player's equipment purchase may have been funded by savings across earlier events, so their current purchase does not tell you what this run alone must produce.
How points become equipment
Attacks earn Hellforge points toward personal goals. The claimed goal rewards supply Hellforge Coin, and the shop exchanges that currency for equipment. Keep the battle score and spendable balance separate when checking progress.
An army loss can still produce progress if it killed creatures within the squad; an attack that kills no monster earns no points.
Choose a relevant captain and army
The official captain guide gives Hercules Army strength and Army health against epic monsters. Cleopatra and Ramses II provide general army bonuses, while Aydae supports Guardsmen. Choose a developed specialty that fits your actual army rather than a captain selected for city development.
The troop guide confirms that Guardsmen have anti-monster attack bonuses. Mercenaries vary by target specialty, so inspect their traits against the forge target before treating them as an automatic upgrade.
- Inspect the shop and select the equipment function and quality you want.
- Read the personal-goal ladder that awards the event coins.
- Prepare the permitted captain and a monster-focused army.
- Attack for event progress, claim available goals and return to the shop with the earned balance.
Community guides give fixed layer ratios for epic marches; they are player advice, not game rules, and the stacking guide explains the principle behind them.
The game doesn't publish an official forge formation or how many coins an army earns, so there is no fixed recipe or coins-per-army figure to plan by.
Buy a specific quality, or save
The shop sells equipment of the chosen quality directly. For example, Epic and Legendary are different selections: inspect the selected quality and the item's actual bonuses before confirming the purchase.
Choose the upgrade for a task you perform, such as fighting or development, rather than buying because the shop is about to close. Coins carry over, so saving for a better quality next run is a valid choice.
Rewards and chest chances
The main route is personal goals to Hellforge Coin to equipment. The event also has its own chest, Hell's Blacksmith's chest. Its contents are a separate reward channel from the coin shop; they are not equipment-purchase odds.
Each percentage is the chance of that reward once you open Hell's Blacksmith's chest, not the chance of earning the chest.
| Reward entry | Declared chance |
|---|---|
| Reset Talent points | 13.6% |
| Gold | 11.6% |
| City teleporter | 9.5% |
| Lumber | 7.5% |
| Stone | 7.5% |
| Iron | 7.5% |
| Epic Tar | 2% |
| Tar | 1.4% |
Shop prices change between runs, so check the current shop before deciding whether to buy or keep saving.
A plan for your clan
If members expect the same objective as Doomsday, explain the persistent shop balance first.
Common mistakes
- Confusing tournament points with the coins available to spend.
- Assuming saved coins disappear at closing and buying an unwanted upgrade.
- Assuming persistent coins keep the shop open between events.
- Confirming a familiar item icon without checking its selected quality.
- Treating the clan chest's contents percentages as shop odds.
FAQ
How do I earn the event currency?
Complete and claim personal goals to earn Hellforge Coin. Battles provide the event points used to progress toward those goals.
Do saved coins disappear between events?
No. The official guide says the coins persist, so you can save for a later equipment purchase.
Does the shop remain open while I save?
No. It is available during the tournament. Spend during an active shop window or wait for a later run.
Can I choose the equipment quality?
Yes. The official guide describes direct equipment purchases at a selected quality. Check the chosen quality before confirming.
What does the chest table describe?
The chances of each reward once you open Hell's Blacksmith's chest. It says nothing about coin income or what the shop sells.
