Power Points: when to add VIP progress

Apply progression points while the tournament is live. Extending a status timer is a different action.

In short

Power Points scores adding VIP points in a 3.5 hours personal tournament. Use suitable saved point items while it is live. Check that you are increasing progression rather than only extending VIP status time.

What it is

Power Points is the short personal tournament for adding VIP points. Adding VIP points is what scores (official guide), so time suitable saved items for the active window.

The useful distinction is between having an item and applying its points. A saved point item gives you a timing choice. Opening the package that supplied it does not by itself establish that the points have been added to your progression.

A second distinction prevents wasted items: VIP status has an active duration, while points advance its level. Check which kind of item you are about to use instead of treating every item with the same broad label as equivalent.

When it runs

The official regular-tournament guide says starts are random and have no fixed public timetable. Look at the upcoming list and the current event before applying points specifically for tournament credit.

The start above is read from the game's calendar when you open the page: a planning reference, not a repeating appointment. Use the calendar alongside the live countdown before spending a saved item.

The same regular tournament cannot appear immediately after itself. Missing the window does not establish that another point-adding opportunity is about to begin. Keep progression decisions tied to the benefits your account needs.

Who can take part

The normal-kingdom entry record adds no special joining requirement. You need a way to add the relevant progression points while the event is active.

The official status guide names point sources including purchases with Gold, clan chests and game offers. These are acquisition routes, not a requirement to buy anything for tournament participation.

Use point items you already intend to apply where possible. A clan reminder should explain the timing opportunity without turning a personal ranking into an obligation to spend.

If a member has no suitable item or point claim, the absence of a special entry gate does not create free progression. Let them continue normal play rather than inventing a mandatory way to score.

How point gains score

Open the progression interface

The official status guide describes the point-adding route through the main menu and the plus control below your level progress. Use the relevant point items in that interface.

  1. Confirm Power Points is the active tournament.
  2. Check your current level progress and your next useful bonus.
  3. Open the point-adding interface and choose the item you intend to use.
  4. Apply it while the event is live.
  5. Check the tournament score before deciding whether to apply further saved items.

The official guide also describes a bulk control for using several point items at once, a Premium status feature. Bulk use is a convenience; it is not a published multiplier on the tournament score.

The game doesn't publish how added progression points convert to tournament points, including daily claims and bulk item use. Check the live tournament's rules in the game.

Distinguish level progress from active time

The official guide lists 25 levels, with increasing point requirements as the level rises. To inspect the bonuses, use the crown control below your hero portrait and open the bonus list for the level you are considering.

The same crown interface shows whether VIP status is active and how much time remains. Extending that time uses status-duration items through its extension control. That is a different operation from adding points to the level progress.

Do not equate a better level with an unlimited active timer. Check both the level's bonuses and the remaining status time when deciding what your account needs.

Coordinate chest opening without confusing the actions

The The Quest for Chests guide covers opening eligible gifts and packages. This event covers applying the resulting progression points. A point item that remains available after opening can be considered separately for use during the appropriate window.

That separation is a planning habit, not a promise that every chest contains the item or that every reward credits it in the same way. Read the reward and item description before treating it as something you can bank.

Players also time a daily claim of VIP points for the window (event notes); no official source describes that claim, so check its reset and what it credits before holding it.

Rewards

The top 100 players receive ranking rewards. The official regular-tournament rule says rewards arrive when you next log in, with any Dragon Coins credited to Clan Capital.

The usual ranking rewards are a title, tar, captain fragments and other items (event notes). Inspect the current bands before deciding whether the next point item helps both your progression and a rank you want to pursue.

The event has no chest of its own. Your added points advance your account; the separate ranking reward follows the place you finish in.

The official status guide lists benefits across development, resource production and army performance, depending on level. Review the actual bonus list rather than assuming every point item immediately unlocks a new benefit.

A current rewarded place can move before the window ends. If the next item is intended for a later progression decision, keep that purpose in view instead of spending it solely to defend a temporary position.

A plan for your clan

The The King's Mercy guide covers another bankable action with a different destination. The short-tournament overview explains their shared random rotation.

Common mistakes

  • Treating ownership of a point item as proof its points are already applied.
  • Extending active status time while expecting point-adding credit.
  • Applying items before confirming the matching tournament is live.
  • Losing a daily claim while waiting for an uncertain appearance.
  • Assuming the bulk control changes the published point value.

FAQ

What does Power Points score?

Adding VIP points. Check the live tournament rules for its exact conversion and supported point sources.

Does extending VIP status count as adding points?

The official status guide describes extending duration separately from adding level progress. Do not substitute a duration item for the named point action.

Where do I apply point items?

Use the point-adding interface below your level progress in the main menu, as described by the official status guide.

Should I buy point items to join in?

A purchase is not required by the entry record. Use suitable saved items when they fit your account goals, and review the reward panel before choosing additional spending.

Can I save a daily claim until this tournament?

Only if its own timing allows it safely. Confirm the claim's deadline and what it credits; do not lose it while waiting for a random tournament start.
