What it is
Wargames is the short personal tournament for defeating other players' troops. The official tournament list names that activity specifically. Fighting monsters, gaining experience or taking resources is not a substitute for checking whether you defeated the player troops required by this event.
Time suitable player attacks for the live window and coordinate with clanmates. Your ranking remains personal even when the clan helps arrange the battle plan.
A player-combat tournament also leaves consequences after its countdown ends. Choose fights your army can sustain and account for retaliation, instead of treating the ranking as a reason to send troops at any available city.
When it runs
Regular tournaments are randomly selected, according to the official guide. They have no fixed public launch timetable, and the same named tournament cannot run immediately after itself.
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Active scoring window | 5 hours |
| Current or next start, UTC | Wed, Nov 4, 20:00 |
| Regular tournaments active together | 1 |
| Rewarded ranking places | Top 100 |
The start shown is read from the game's calendar when you open the page; it is not a permanent daily appointment. Check the calendar, then the active in-game tournament, before sending a timed attack.
For a distant target, the departure time and battle time are different. Plan the arrival against the live window and allow room to reconsider if the target changes before you send.
Who can take part
The normal-kingdom entry record adds no special joining condition. In practice, you need troops and an eligible player battle that fits the tournament's current rules.
Read those rules before choosing the target. The overview confirms the activity, but does not give a complete scoring breakdown for every troop category, battle location or participant role.
The game doesn't publish points by enemy troop type and level, or how attackers, defenders and group-march participants share the credit; the official overview says only that defeating other players' troops scores.
That gap is not a reason to guess. If a specific kind of fight matters to the plan, check it in the live scoring panel before committing to it. Neither an army's displayed size nor its expected loot establishes the tournament score.
How player battles score
Choose the scoring action, not a similar reward
The action is defeating player troops. A battle can also involve loot, experience and Conquest points, but those are not a published conversion formula for this tournament's rank points.
Use the live tournament rules to understand the score you intend to earn. After the fight, compare the battle result with the change in your own tournament total. Do not assume a large loot haul means a strong tournament result.
- Confirm Wargames is active.
- Read the current player-troop scoring rule and your ranking.
- Check the target and agree any support with clanmates.
- Send only when the battle timing and expected losses fit your plan.
- Review the result and your remaining army before choosing another fight.
Group cooperation does not make credit interchangeable
The official march guide explains how clanmates can combine forces in a group march. It requires the relevant reinforcement building, Consulate, for allies to send reinforcements between their cities.
That article also separates resource delivery from battle points: looted resources arrive after reinforcements return, while experience and Conquest points are credited immediately. Those are general march mechanics; the tournament's own scoring rule still decides each participant's rank points.
Clan CP runs are player-organised sessions, not a game tournament. If your clan arranges such a session alongside a live tournament, explain that distinction and follow the game's rules. The organiser's attendance record does not automatically become a tournament score.
Check portals before calling the session finished
The official protection article says Shield of Peace protects your city against direct attacks but does not protect an open portal. An enemy attack through the portal bypasses the city's walls and engages its army.
This is part of the battle plan, not an extra scoring trick. An opponent's return attack can matter more to your account than a small improvement in the final ranking.
Rewards
The top 100 players receive ranking rewards. The official regular-tournament rule says these are credited when you next log in; any Dragon Coins go to Clan Capital.
The usual ranking rewards are a title, tar, captain fragments and other items (event notes). Read the current ranking band against the losses and recovery your next fight would require. A rewarded position can still change while other players continue fighting.
The event has no chest of its own, so there is no drop table here.
For a monster-focused alternative, see Pursuit of Experience. The epic-run guide covers organising attacks on epic hosts. Those activities have their own targets and scoring rules.
A plan for your clan
The short-tournament overview explains the random rotation. Use it to plan reminders without treating every appearance as a compulsory combat day.
Common mistakes
- Fighting monsters while expecting player-troop tournament points.
- Equating loot or another battle-point total with this event's score.
- Assuming the organiser's group total is every participant's personal credit.
- Chasing a place without allowing for army recovery and retaliation.
- Leaving a portal open because the city has an active shield.
FAQ
What earns points in Wargames?
Defeating other players' troops. Use the live scoring panel for the detailed point values and eligible battle circumstances.
Do monster kills count as the same activity?
The official list gives this tournament a player-troop objective. Monster-focused events are separate activities.
Does joining a clan battle guarantee the same score as the host?
Do not assume that. Check the tournament's participant-credit rule and your own score after the battle.
Does a shield make an open portal safe?
No. The official protection rule allows enemies to attack through open portals and bypass city walls even while the city is shielded.
Is a clan CP run the tournament itself?
No. A clan CP run is player-organised. This tournament is the game's separate scoring window, with its own rules and personal ranking.
